SAN FRANCISCO, CA—Denver Mayor Michael Hancock was back in the air again on Saturday as he flew out to California to meet up with several fellow Democrat leaders from around the nation.
Hancock joined California Governor Gavin Newsom, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, and six others in person at the 150 sq. ft. Black Horse London Pub in San Francisco’s Cow Hollow neighborhood.
“It’s a great little spot,” Hancock said. “Gavin’s had them shut down for safety purposes, but he had them open up special for us, which was great of him. It was just really good to hang out again and talk about what new restrictions we can put on other people to help slow the coronavirus spread.”
According to local residents, after drinks the mask-free group of politicians enjoying a family-style dinner in the Marina. Hancock said, “We know that in these unprecedented times we have to act quickly and we know that restrictions can be confusing for the average Joe, so we decided that we would all ban any in-person contact by regular people, including family members. Families are really the ones spreading it. We, on the other hand, as faithful public servants will continue to selflessly meet up face-to-face at bars and restaurants across the nation every week to discuss what we can continue to do to make our citizens safer.”
Hancock is expected back in Colorado next week, after generously accepting an invitation to attend a pool party in San Diego to raise awareness for the importance of swimming.
